Surf Lifeguard & Patrol Support Award Registration 2024
We are recruiting! Onemana Surf Lifesaving Club is looking for Surf Lifeguards and Patrol Support to join our team. Are you a teacher, nurse, tradie, student, surfer, keen swimmer, passionate parent, physio, barista or anything in between? We want you!
We offer two awards; Surf Lifeguard Award & Patrol Support Award.
- The Patrol Support comprises all elements of the Surf Lifeguard Award, aside from water-based elements. If you are keen to be involved, but swimming isn’t your forte - this award is for you!
- The Surf Lifeguard Award consists of all the components, water-based included!
Onemana SLSC patrols from December through to the start of February, as well as Labour Weekend, Waitangi Weekend and Easter Weekend. Our membership is made up of 50/50 men and women of many different ages, abilities and experiences.
This year we are working alongside our neighbours at Whangamata Surf Lifesaving Club to offer training over the course of 8 weeks, beginning the week starting 9th September and finishing with an exam on Labour Weekend. It will involve the following requirements:
- 5 x Online training sessions
- 3 x In-person sessions (Located at Onemana SLSC)
- 1 x Pool session
